IT/Informatics Student

Technology Enthusiast

I'm very passionate about technology, the Internet, and how we interact with it. What I want to achive throughout Informatics is to be able to not only help people, but for them to understand what went wrong, and how to fix it in the future. My goal is to be able to work for a variety of employers, and be adaptable for what they need from IT.

01 / About

I have been working with technology all my life. My background includes over a year of professional experience with IT concepts, and almost six years of personal experience.

I am currently enrolled at FHSU, working towards my degree. I'm very adaptable at work, and can adjust to coworkers or new situations easily. I'm passionate about what I do, and I like to share that passion with others.

Chromebooks to Standard PCs

I noticed some Chromebooks at my job were functional, but out of software support. I realized I could give them a new system BIOS to make them still usable. I unscrewed the back of the laptop, and removed the battery to disable write protection. I then ran the correct commands to flash the BIOS to a open source one. Afterwards, I could run up-to-date versions of Linux, preserving computer usability.

Survey Site

Made with FreeCodeCamp, I coded a basic HTML survey. This was for a class project, but I was able to fully code a working survey myself.

Windows 11 Updates

At my DC3 role, I spearheaded updates to Windows 11 on "unsupported" computers. I found an article to help. I used a simple .bat file to send a command to the Windows installer, having it run as "Windows Server" instead of Windows 11, bypassing Windows 11's strict hardware requirements.
